25 May How to Budget for Furniture & Decor
With so many options out there, the prospect of starting a new furniture and decor project can seem overwhelming. With our extensive experience, we are able to evaluate our client’s wants and needs in order to develop a budget that provides them with their desired function and aesthetic.
Budget is a tricky subject. To give a general guideline of what to expect and how to budget for your project, we have created a high low budget for three complete designer rooms. On average, our clients tend to spend somewhere in between the high low budgets. Of course, this is just a guideline, and the budget per line items can vary. While our clients may end up saving money on one piece, typically, they will end up spending more on another. Therefore, the total budget that we establish is usually sufficient and accurate. Keep in mind that your project will undoubtedly vary from the examples.
Some other things to consider:
- We represent high-quality designer furniture and decor that you won’t find at regular retailers, so keep in mind that our “affordable” options start from this point.
- If you have custom pieces or a maximalist design style, there can be additional expenses we didn’t cover.
- The items covered do not include labor or other construction items that may also be a part of your project.
Generally speaking, the overview here is an excellent guideline for creating a budget for furniture and decor for quality designer rooms.
